The Eventful team worked with the National Pancreas Foundation Courage for a Cure Committee on its 15th annual gala. Eventful coordinated the following: branding/theme development, program content, public relations, volunteer management, design and décor, menu selection, silent auction management, entertainment, event logistics and vendor management.
The evening took place at Heinz Field East Club Lounge and consisted of a VIP reception, followed by a general reception, a large-scale silent auction, dinner and the presentation of several awards. Targeting the NPF’s desire to tell their story, we contracted with a videographer to create a three-minute video featuring NPF volunteers, doctors who work with pancreatic diseases and research and pancreatic cancer survivors. Utilizing the same videographer, we also put together a short video feature on the 2015 Courage Award recipient. The first video was utilized to promote the event locally, and has been edited to for use on their national web site.
Additional public relations included press releases, requests for coverage with area media. Eventful partners worked on program content, including layout, design and advertising and printing. Public relations included press releases and requests for coverage from local media outlets.
Additionally, Eventful assisted with event registration through an online registration and auction site, as well as mailed-in registration, coordination of table seating and layout. We were asked to reflect the design and the décor of the event with a very limited budget while representing the high tech look of the overall event. After a bidding process with multiple vendors, we contracted and managed vendors who were able to provide these services within our budget constraints. As a fundraising event whose net proceeds directly go back to fund Pancreatic Disease and Cancer research, it was crucial to tightly manage their event budget for maximum profit.
